What is so special about Carbon?

1. Featherweight. 
The carbon frame (armature) is 60% lighter than chrome frame. For VR FPS, this means you can play for longer periods with less fatigue. It also mean faster movements (ho sweet thermodynamics and laws of gravity).
However, it really depends on the type of experience you want. Do you want something more realistic with a weight closer to a real gun? Or are you aiming first for the score (badumtss) with better reactivity and faster reflexes?
It also depends on your own strength and endurance. As I'm closer to a lumberjack than the Slenderman, I can handle heavier objects for quite a long time. While some of my colleagues prefers something adapted to their size.

 

2. Sleek design. 
We always emphasize "functionality > beauty" (what I call "fancy frills").
For us, functionality and durability are most important. After all, when you play, you don't see your VR accessories. You want them to add immersion and performances (get that high score!), and you want it robust. That's why we don't add unnecessary decorations (or points of vulnerability).
Buuuuut... we are talking about a material, a color. Which doesn't increase the size or volume of the product. 
And yeah, let's be honest, when you're not wearing your VR headset, Black is cool.
